Mission & Vision
Welcome to Mountain View! One of our most important goals is to help students develop social, emotional, wellness and citizenship skills for school and life. Not only does this mean helping students grow academically, but helping them develop the Eight Essentials of leadership.
Those essentials are: Honesty, Respect, Selflessness, Commitment, Forgiveness, Patience, Humility and Kindness. We know that developing these characteristics will help all of our students become effective community contributors and life-long learners.
GUIDELINES FOR SUCCESS
Mountain View Guidelines for Success will enhance our strong community. Acting with PRIDE ensures success for today and the future.
Preparation: Be prepared for class everyday. Bring materials and an open mind.
Respect: Be polite and courteous.
Integrity: Do the right thing even when no one is watching.
Diligence: Be relentless in your efforts for personal growth.
Excellence: Strive for excellence everyday
We also believe the most appropriate student management approach is to be proactive to help you understand that your choices result in natural and logical consequences. Our goals are to enable you to take responsibility for your actions, increase your capacity for making choices, and to keep you connected and a contributing member to our school community. The above guidelines will establish a positive, safe and caring environment for all.
