MMS student earns national award for growth in reading
Congratulations to Mountain View Middle School 8th grader Caden H.! He was one of 12 students selected from more than 1,000 nominated nationwide for the National HMH Read 180 Award, which celebrates outstanding students who have demonstrated remarkable growth in reading.
Here’s an excerpt from the award nomination:
"Over time Caden quickly became the top student in our class. When his peers avoid work or make excuses, Caden gently calls them out and reminds them of their own potential to accomplish great things. He is encouraging, not critical. He remembers where he used to be, freely admits that with a humble heart, and uses humor to be gracious and respectful. He is a role model."
We thank Mrs. Notehelfer for nominating Caden and celebrating his success.
